Tekkotsu, created at Carnegie Mellon University, is a free, open source framework for robotics application development. The name Tekkotsu means "framework" (literally "iron bones") in Japanese.

The Tekkotsu Wiki is a collection of tips and reference material for Tekkotsu users. See the article on Teaching with Tekkotsu for links to educational materials.

Tekkotsu is presently funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation under the CCLI (Course, Curriculum, and Laboratory Improvement) program, with additional funding provided by the Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science.
